Erlend Oye and the Ginger Gift

You might recognize the voice of this kid from your late night millionaire readings of Milton and the non-stop shuffle obscure by Kings of Convenience on yer neat little computer speakeasys .
Erlend Øye and Eirik Bøe are silverliners since boyhood in Bergen, Norway where the acoustic pop-folk dynamo began writing their anomalously-titled & deliciously infectious debut Quiet is the New Loud (2001), featuring sweet Si&Garf worthy melodics and intricate assuaging string theories of tympanic infinitude .
This kind of royalty is not bestowed upon the mere expedient among us, but only boys that cater your bosa nova in a way most sympatico to the aural escapade .

Erlends current solo clever is another remarkable Berlin-based group of similar (elitist?) legend, présent
.
-bubble gum indie'lectronica that sets the toe popping pulse a grade higher, lets none remain ungroovish .
Dreams was released summer 2006 in Germany, came wake across the way a bit later .

The one lack of pro quo with the elite, however, seems to be the price of a plate to join them in black and white . They play NYC on April 21 but Tickets for either group begin at a steep 70 clams that few part time beach combers may be able to afford. But eh, the crowd might as well be the pocket-hugging yuppie hipsters we can't abide and noa good time if we can't make the list .
But if ye dig it, by all means sample the shore for the free flotsom out there and hear it from the noisiest shell ye come across.
